I run the Debating Society at The Lansdowne Club, Mayfair. I want to extend my passion for debating to London as a whole, and build a bigger group to: 1 - Help to populate the online community/blog, where we'll debate/rant, share videos and podcasts on contentious and interesting matters, both topical and stupidly high brow! 2 - Meet up in the real world, to debate specific motions. To further our understanding of certain key issues, and to enjoy the art of debate and the social aspects too of c …

In a nutshell, what we do at our meet-ups is savour and talk about ONE short story of note in “real time”, aloud. Each month, Megg and Steve suggest a volume of short stories which they think the group might enjoy reading. At the meet-up one of the facilitators kicks things off by reading the first few paragraphs of the chosen story. The reader then pauses and the group discusses anything that feels pertinent in that moment with regard to the story or their experience of it. The facilitator will …

Let the journey to Pandora begin; the question is- how do we all try to fix and heal the world? it seems an impossible task. Children are killing children and there seems to be an imbalance in the world as a whole. It seems that to heal the world we have to try to heal the community, to heal the community it seems we have to try to heal our families, to heal our families it seems we have to heal ourselves. Ghandi said," As Human beings, our greatness lies not so much in being able to remake the …
